IEEE PES has negotiated a special group rate of US$205.00 per night for IEEE PES Joint Technical Committee attendees. This group rate is inclusive of service fees, but exclusive of applicable sales/room taxes (currently at 14.45%), plus additional $3.00 per room per night occupancy tax) in effect at the time of check-out, as well as a New Orleans Convention & Visitors’ Bureau assessment of 1.75% of each room rate, per room per night.
Reservations must be made by 6:00pm Eastern Time on 15 December 2023 in order to get the group rate. Once when room block is sold out, the hotel will offer rooms/rates based upon availability.
Conference attendees must reference JTCM 2024 when making hotel reservations.
In the event you need to cancel your reservation, you may do so no later then 6:00pm on the arrival date.

Taxis pick up passengers in a dedicated taxi loading zone on the Arrivals Curb outside of Level 1 Baggage Claim Door 7.
Taxi rides cost $36.00 from the airport to the Central Business District (CBD) or French Quarter (west of Elysian Fields) for up to two (2) passengers. For three (3) or more passengers, the fare will be $15.00 per passenger. Taxis are required to accept credit card payments.
Transportation Network Companies (TNC) or App-Based Rides Service
Ride app services pick up passengers outside of Level 1 Baggage Claim on the middle curb.
Lyft, Inc., KREWECAR, and Rasier-DC, LLC (Uber) are authorized to provide pick-up services at MSY. Passengers can make a request once they are located on the terminal curbside. Authorized Transportation Network Companies may drop-off passengers on the Upper Departure Curb only. Always confirm that you are getting in the correct vehicle with the designated driver shown on the app.
